Inside Erin's House

Hi, I'm Erin from House Envy. My husband and I are raising two high spirited boys (ages 7 and 5) in our shaker style home in Fort Wayne.

Ours is truly a family home that is constantly evolving as our kids get older and our needs change. Luckily, I love DIY projects! I also love finding ways to reflect the eclectic character of our family through the eclectic nature of our home. Thanks for taking a look!

I like using varying types of coleus in my front window boxes and planters. They are colorful and very easy to maintain, even in the doldrums of the summer heat.

We recently changed to a black and white color scheme on our main floor by repainting our trim black and the walls cream. You can see the transformation in my post from November.

I fell in love with this Josef Frank replica fabric and decided to reupholster this garage sale wing back chair for my dining room. I painted the geometric diamond pattern using a ruler and ALOT of painter's tape! I love how the geometric pattern plays against the more traditional fabric and furniture.

I turned a section of my pantry into a mini home office center

I posted the details of my oldest son's room makeover in February.

And here is my youngest son's room.

A glimpse of the guest room.

I recently converted our basement from a no man's land to a colorful kid hang out.

Thanks so much for taking the tour! {Erin}

  2. Love your home Erin. I would love to know what paint you used on the walls. I am looking for a cream color and this one looks perfect. Thanks so much.
